CHRISTMAS SUGAR COOKIES
Ingredients For the Cookie Dough: 2 cups all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar, sifted For the Buttercream Frosting: 1 cup powdered (confectioners) sugar 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened 1-2 tablespoons milk 1 teaspoons vanilla OR almond extract Wilton Christmas red and moss green food coloring gels ( You can get them at their store or online) Red, green and white sprinkles, for decoration Instructions Cookies: In a medium bowl whisk together flour and salt. Set aside. Place butter into the bowl of your stand mixer, fitted with the paddle attachment, beat until smooth and light, about 40-60 seconds. Add in the sugar and beat until smooth. Gradually add the flour mixture and beat until you get a smooth dough. Roll the dough between 2 sheets of parchment paper to 1/4 -inch thick.
